UGANDA, 5X. Leif, SM0BFJ, reports that Gus, 5X1D, is active every day between 1730 and 1800z on 50.150 MHz. He also states Gus is the first station ever to be active from Uganda on 6 meters. QSL 5X1D via SM0BFJ.

SYRIA, YK. A group of German amateurs will operate from Syria as YK1B through October 7. QSL via DL8HCZ.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, A6. Don, WB2DND will once again be active from here November 3 to 8, from A61AD's QTH. Activity will be on all bands including 160 meters. Don has reportedly shipped 1000 feet of wire to put up an inverted L and beverage aimed at Europe and North America.

BAHAMAS, C6. Mike, W7FKF, will be active October 22 to 28 as W7FKF/C6A. Mike will also participate in the CQWW SSB Contest probably as C6AHU, 160 through 10 meters near the IOTA frequencies. QSL via WJ8C.

ST. PAUL ISLAND, CY9. Weather continues to plague the CY9AOE operation. Don, VE1AOE, and Ken, VY2RU aka VE1RU, originally planned to leave September 18th for this operation.

WALLIS AND FUTUNA ISLANDS, FW. DJ2EH, DJ4OI and DL8NBH will be active between October 22 and November 4, signing FW/home calls. Their QSL route will be announced later. They plan to be active on 160 through 10 meters CW, SSB and RTTY, with an emphasis on the new bands and the lowbands.

BELAU, KC6. Members of the Oklahoma DX Association are returning to Belau. N5CG as KC6GG and N5OK as KC6OK, will be arriving in Koror on the 12th of October. They will be operating from 10 through 160 meters, including the new bands, on CW and SSB. Normal DX operating frequencies will be used. QSL to Belau DXpedition, Box 88, Morris, OK 74445.

LEBANON, OD. Thor, TF1MM, continues to be active as OD5/TF1MM from Naqoura, Southern Lebanon. This is the UN headquarters and he has been permitted to use a 16 element Log Periodic. He was heard on 14016 kHz at 1545Z and 10103 kHz at 1950Z. QSL via 4Z4DX.

BERMUDA, VP9. Steve, YV5DTA/W4, will once again be active from here October 6 to 11. If he can escape from his work duties, look for him signing YV5DTA/VP9 on the regular DX windows.

SOUTHERN COOK ISLANDS, ZK1. Gun, DF4DI, will be on the island from November 2nd for at least five months. Gun will be active as ZK1DI on all nine HF bands. Gun intends to go to Manihiki Island for a week. Gun's manager is DK1RV.

ARUBA, P4. Look for P49I to be active October 22 through 29, on 80 meters during the CQ WW SSB Contest. Prior to the contest, look for him to be active on most bands. QSL via K4PI.

HONG KONG, VR2. Look for VR2RC, operating from Tamen Island on October 6, on 7053 kHz SSB. Tamen Island is apart from Hong Kong Island and does not as yet have an IOTA number.

CHAGOS ISLANDS, VQ9. Phil, VQ9WM, will be QRV from here for the next 10 months. He will look for North American stations around 1715Z on 14227 kHz. QSL via K7IOO.
