PACIFIC

DU - PHILIPPINES Dave, W1DV, is in Manila as a missionary and will be QRV mostly in CW signing DU/W1DV for the next two years. QSL via KO7V.


AFRICA

5X - UGANDA Gus, 5X1D, is back again since the end of January. He is now also QRV on 6m and 2m. QSL via SM0BFJ.

9U - BURUNDI 9U5CW and 9U5DX will take part in the ARRL CW Contest (Feb 15/16) signing 9U5T. QSL via F2VX. Gerry, F2VX, has also the logs of 9U5DX until January 21, 1997.

FT5Z - AMSTERDAM ISLAND Eric, FT5ZG, is now active using his own station for the next year. He tries to keep up the sked on 7004kHz at 1730 UTC. QSL via REF bureau or direct to F5RQQ Vigier JM, 4 IMP Des LYS, F-63800 Cournon D'Auvergne.

ST0 - SOUTH SUDAN John, ST0/PA3CXC, appeared surprisingly on the bands. The length of stay is unknown. QSL direct via homecall: John Fung-Loy, Strauss- laan 4, NL-2551 Den Haag NM. Perhaps he goes to 9U/9Q afterwards.


AMERICA

6Y - JAMAICA Dick, K3DI, will sign 6Y0A in the QRP category of the ARRL CW Test. QSL direct, via bureau or internet (wilder@clark.net). Outside of the contest he will be active as K3DI/6Y5 (not 6Y5/K3DI).

8P9 - BARBADOS Steve, K2WE, will be on the air from 8P9 in SSB/CW on 160m-10m from February 4-11. QSL via homecall or to his old call NI2C.

HP - PANAMA Joel, F5PAC, will be active using an IC706, GP and dipole antennas between February 11 and March 7. The call is not sure yet.

KG4 - GUANTANAMO BAY Larry, KG4ML, will be on the base from February 11-27. He hopes that after his job there is enough spare time for him to take part in the ARRL CW Contest (Feb 15/16). KG4ML has been 5 times in KG4 and already made 6500 QSOs from Guantanamo Bay. QSL via WB6VGI.

PJ8 - ST. MAARTEN Ron, ND5S, Sue, KF5LG, Bill, W8EB, and Dorothy, KB8ZXO, plan to hit the airwaves as PJ8/homecall on all bands in CW/SSB/RTTY between February 23 and March 8. During the ARRL SSB Contest (March 1/2) they will sign PJ8A. QSL for the contest QSOs via W9NIP all other QSLs via homecalls.

V31 - BELIZE John/WC0W/V31TP, Alan/NS0B/V31EV and perhaps Bob/WG9L/V31RC will be on the air as V31TP in the multi/single category of the ARRL CW Contest. Before and after that they work also in SSB but no WARC. QSL via homecall.

VP2E - ANGUILLA Dennis, K7BV, is active as VP2EV mostly in CW from February 9-18. QSL via homecall. New address: 4357 Appollonio Way, Carson City, NV 89704, USA.

VP5 - TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS Steven, N9CK, works as VP5/N9CK mostly in CW and RTTY from February 4-11. He will participate in the WPX RTTY Contest signing VP5CK. QSL via N9CK via bureau or CBA.


ASIA

4S - SRI LANKA Mario, HB9BRM, will be on the air as 4S7BRG on 80m-10m from March 3 until May 30 or later. QSL via bureau to HB9BRM or direct to Mario Primavesi, Falkensteinerstr 5, CH-4710 BALSTHAL. The CBA is wrong!

S2 - BANGLADESH Hannes, DL3NEO, Mar, DL3DXX, and Joerg, DL8WPX/YB1AQS arrived in Dhaka on February 2. They became QRV as S21XX (and perhaps S21XY/ S21XZ) and emphasize the lowbands. Mar and Joerg will head for P2 to meet DK7YY and others on February 14. DL3NEO will stay in Dhaka until Feb 17. QSLs via DL3NEO (ok via DL bureau). A direct address will be published later.

XU - CAMBODIA Robert, KE2FB, works at the US embassy and is active as XU2FB on 80 to 10 meters in CW/SSB/RTTY and 10m FM. QSL via N4JR.
