PACIFIC

KH0 - NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS Masa, KH0/JH6VLF, and Seiji, AH0R/JH6RTO, will be QRV from OC-086 from Sep 12-16. QSLs via homecalls (JH6RTO address see DXNL 1040).

KH3 - JOHNSTON ISLAND Al, KK5ZX, will appear around September 1 and stays until October 1. QSL via K3SX (ex K3SME), 5008 Red Hill Rd, Keedysville, MD 21756,USA.

KH4 - MIDWAY ISLAND On their way home the KH7 team will stop on Midway on October 3/4.

KH7 - KURE ISLAND UA3AB, W0MY (ex W0RLX), SM0AGD, KH7K and OH2LVG/AH0W will be on the air with four stations from Kure Island between September 26 and October 3. They will emphasize especially Europe and the lowbands. QSL via KE7LZ, Bob Johnson, 5627 West Hearn Rd, Glendale, AZ 85306,USA.

VK9 - WILLIS ISLAND The calls are VK9WY (YLs), VK9WM (OMs) and VK4YN from Holmes Reef. All QSLs via VK4FW.

YB - INDONESIA (Correction of DXNL 1057) The release of the 20m band for YC stations was a hoax of the local authorities in Indonesia.


AFRICA

9X - RWANDA After logging 41000 QSOs Mark, 9X4WW/ON4WW, went QRT on August 9. QSL via ON5NT.

EA9 - CEUTA AND MELILLA Frank, EA9/EA5RD, and Kim, EA9/EA5ND, will be QRV with two stations in CW/SSB/RTTY on 10-80m on September 6/7. QSL via bureau or direct.

TT - CHAD Jim, TT8/WA4KKY, is now active as TT8JWM. QSL via bureau to WA4KKY. TT8/WB4MBU is now TT8JFC.

V5 - NAMIBIA Ulmar, V5/DK1CE, is QRV until August 30.

Z2 - ZIMBABWE Cedrick's (Z2/N9YXA) antennas had severe damages after the flight. Contrary to DXNL 1055 he made only a few QSOs and will try again next year.


AMERICA

CY9 - ST PAUL ISLAND VA3RU, VA3EU and HA5IJ will be QRV as CY9DX especially in CW during the SAC and the WAE contests from September 12-22. QSL via VA3RU.

FP - ST PIERRE & MIQUELON FP5CJ, FP5AC and FP5BU were on the air from NA-032 signing FP5KE/p from August 22-24. QSL via FP5CJ, Jean Pierre Carrere, BP 1543, St Pierre et Miquelon.

KP5 - DESECHEO ISLAND For safety reasons Vance, W5IJU, was refused to land on the island.

VP9 - BERMUDA ISLAND Fred, K1EFI/VP9, will be active in CW on the WARC bands and in the Bermuda Net (Sunday 1230 UTC on 14275 kHz) between September 25 and October 6. QSL via K1EFI.


ASIA

9M6 - EASTERN MALAYSIA Hans,DF5UG, will probably be QRV from OC-165 as 9M8QQ in September. QSL via DF5UG.

DU - PHILIPPINES WH6DAG/DU1, Moni, and AH6OM/DU1, Mike, are on Mindoro from Aug 30 until September 17. QSL to Mike's homecall DL2SEK.

1S - SPRATLY ISLANDS 9M6OO made 10000 QSOs in three days, 9M6PO only 2200.


EUROPE

CU - AZORES CU2/DL3KDV and CU2/DL4XS will be QRV from September 1-14. QSL via DARC bureau.

CT - PORTUGAL During the EXPO 98 the special prefixes CQ98 (CT3), CS98 (CT4), CT98 (CT1, CT2 or CT5) and CU98 (CU) will be on the air between January 1 and September 30, 1998.

LZ DX Contest CW: Sep 6 1200 UTC until Sep 7 1200 UTC. Bands: 10-80m. Exchange: RST+ITU-Zone. QSOs with own continent do count, too.

Region 1 SSB Fieldday: Sep 6 1500 UTC until Sep 7 1500 UTC. Bands: 10-160m. Exchange: RS+QSO number.

All Asian SSB Contest: Sep 6 0000 UTC until Sep 7 2400 UTC. Bands: 10-160m. Exchange: RS+your age (YLs=00).
