3D2 - FIJI Dragan, Z32AU, shall be on the air from Fiji signing 3D2AU from Sep 18-26. QSL via Z32AU.
4W - EAST TIMOR Since Aug 15 Jose, CT1FKN, works as a Portuguese soldier for the provisional UN administration in Dili and hopes to become active as 4W6FK until 2001.
VK0 - MACQUARIE ISLAND The supply ship "Polar Bird" shall arrive on Macquarie on Nov 7 and will then leave for Casey Base (Wilkes Land, Antarctica) on Nov 12. There will be no radio amatuer on Macquarie until the end of 2001. So there might be the chance that Alan may hit the the airwaves from Casey base signing VK0LD some time after Nov 12. His QSL route will be announced later this year, earlier QSL requests are useless! The VK0MM schedule is online at http://www.geocities.com/vk0ld/1.html.
T30 - EASTERN KIRIBATI VK2GJH is QRV again from OC-017 signing T30JH especially on 6m and in SSB on 10-80m from Sep 14-26. QSL direct to the CBA of VK2GJH. By the end of November he may hit the airwaves also from Tuvalu/T2 but a trip to Nauru is not planned this time.
D6 - COMORES Preparing his activity next year the RSGB president, Don Beattie, D68/G3OZF, is active from AF-007 on 10-80m from Sep 12-18. QSL via G3OZF.
ZD9 - TRISTAN da CUNHA Bob, G3ZEM, is very active as ZD9ZM working in CW and RTTY and some SSB on 10m since Sep 6. Time schedule and online logcheck are available at http://www.dxtechnology.com/zd9zm/ (wrong in DXNL 1213). QSL via K4CIA.
CE - CHILE; CE0Z - JUAN FERNANDEZ ISLAND Rick, PY1VOY, is in Chile for two months starting by mid September and hopes to operate from Juan Fernandez for three or four days.
HP - PANAMA Wil, DJ7AA, Manfred, DK1BT, and Tina, DL6MYL, will operate as HO1A from the station of Guenter, HP1XVH, on Contadora Island (NA-072) between Sep 16 and Oct 1 (and during the CQWW RTTY Contest). Outside of the contest they will emphasize WARC, lowbands for EU/AS and CW. QSL via bureau to DL6MYL or to her CBA. A5 - BHUTAN On Sep 12 the A52FH team establishes the future clubstation A51AA in Thimphu. After working as XU7ABI they will be joined by Peter, ON6TT, who hopes to get the callsign A52TT, QSL via ON5NT (DXNL 1213).
9A - CROATIA Dusan, 9A/S52DG/p, and Borut, 9A/S52LD/p, are QRV in CW/SSB on 10-40m operating from Krk (EU-136) from Sep 15-18. QSLs via bureau or CBA.

LX - LUXEMBOURG On Sep 28 the Grand-Duke Jean will abdicate for the benfit of his son, heir Grand-Duke Henri. LX0GDJ will be QRV from Sep 18-28 until the moment of power pass over and after this LX0GDH will be QRV till Oct 8 both activated from RL Headquarter Club House in Eisenborn. On Sep 6 thousands of pro-Indonesian militiamen and their supporters stormed a UN office in Atambua, West Timor, killing three innocent people working for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Two of them were radio operators, namely 29 year old Pero Simundza, 9A4SP (aka 4W6SP, T98P,ZA/9A4SP), of Split/Croatia and 33 year old Carlos Luis Caceres, KD4SYB. Amateur Radio and the world have surely lost two true humanitarians.
