PACIFIC

3D2 - FIJI Yuu, JA3IG, is planning another South Pacific trip. He intends to be QRV as 3D2JA from May 28-30.

A35 - TONGA After that Yuu will go to Tonga where he will be active as A35IG between May 30 and June 1 and on June 5/6.

FO - FRENCH POLYNESIA FO5VO is Ron, N6VO, who is mostly QRV in CW on 40/80m until May 31. QSL via N6VO.

V6 - MICRONESIA JE7RJZ plans to be on the air either as V63JZ or V63NN in CW on 80 to 10 meters. QSL via JA7FWR.

VK - AUSTRALIA If weather permits Steve, AA6LF, will sail to the Low Islets (IOTA OC-072) from May 21-25. Around June 1 he plans a stay on Stanley or Howick Island (OC-187). His call will be VK4ALF. QSLs via AA6BB.

ZK2 - NIUE JA3IG intends to be on the air as ZK2YY from June 1-4. Yuu prefers CW therefore the best frequencies to look for him are 7005 kHz and 14025 kHz. QSL via homecall.


AMERICA

CO - CUBA CO4OTA is the call of a DXpedition to the Los Canarreos Archipel (NA-056). Most activity will be in CW from June 7-9.QSL via CT1ESO.


ASIA

9N - NEPAL Brad, KV5V, will stay in Nepal and tries to become active from the stations of 9N1ARB (Dick) and 9N1RHM (Rich) from June 23-30. - YL Kyoko, 9N1KY, is on the air from Nepal until July.

BV - TAIWAN BO1/JP1RIW is active from the Ma-Tsu Islands (IOTA AS-113) between May 31 and June 2. QSL via BV2KI.


EUROPE

9H - MALTA Heinz, DL6MDG, will be active from Valetta again like in the last 2 years before. He will be QRV in SSB signing 9H3SS from June 7-20. Heinz speaks also French and Italian and gives stations from this area the possibility to make a QSO with Malta. QSL via homecall.

5A1A On May 14 the DXCC Desk approved all 5A1A activities after July 13, 1995 (starting with the activity of the Ukrainians) for DXCC. 35000 QSLs are already printed and a majority of them will be mailed now answering the incoming QSL requests. Everybody who like to send his cards direct can use also the address of Toly, UT3UY. How safe will be this QSL route?

5X Paul, 5X4F, and Peggy, 5X4G, left Uganda for security reasons on April 25. Until then Paul logged some 12500 QSOs. Paul and Peggy hope to return to Uganda in autumn.

DXCC/SV/A Both the DX Advisory Committee and the DX Awards Committee voted against a change of the DXCC status of Mount Athos. Since the DXAC and the Awards Committee had the same results of their votes the matter is decided now.

TI9 The DXpedition TI9X/TE9RLI logged approximately 7000 QSOs with some technical difficulties occuring.

XU1CJF was the call of JA1UT, JA4FWM, JA1CMS and other OMs from May 10-15. The crew has been worked in EU on 15m/20m in SSB. QSL via JR0CGJ.

ZL8RI The ZL8RI team published the first report of their activity. Alto- gether they made 33897 QSOs. These included 1772 CW QSOs, 1769 SSB QSOs and 77 RTTY QSOs with Europe. The majority of the QSOs was made with the US and Japan. The next destination they are thinking about is Auckland and Campbell (ZL9) in about two years from now.

ZL9GD During his last activity ZL4MV logged 800 QSOs within three days.
