The second operation will sign 3DA0NX during the contest which will be Single Op entry by Koji, ZS6CAX (ex JM1CAX/KG7WW). He states this operation will be the part of contesting team registered as the "Team Nippon". 6Y5XX, FG5BG, V85HG and JH7PKU will be the partners (all JA ops). He has put up a B/W 160-10m folded dipole and has worked a W8 on 160 meter with it. He is regularly active at his sunrise (0326z) below 3510kHz. QSL via W4DR.

5X, UGANDA (News by Peter, 5X1T/ON6TT)......

This was not orginally planned as a contest operation. However, the best dates available from Environmental Canada included the contest weekend. So why not? The operators will be signing homecall/CY0, but have requested CY0XX for the contest. At this time they do not know if the call will be issued in time. The QSL Manager is Murray, WA4DAN, QSL via his Callbook address. They will operate on all bands and plan to have active two PHONE, two CW stations and one station dedicated to RTTY.

D2, ANGOLA (UPDATE). Alex, PA3DZN (aka 9X5EE, 9Q2L, etc), has arrived in Luanda. He arranged a meeting with the PTT Director, and has received the callsign D25L (Delta-two-five-Lima). However, he does not expect to be active soon, as his antennas and amplifier is still under way and are not expected to arrive for the next 2-3 weeks. He does have his radio and keyer here, so he may string up a 40 meter dipole. However, he states it may not be worth going through the trouble because he will be leaving Luanda in about 3 weeks for a place called Menongue which is in the southern part of the country. Meanwhile, he is hopeful the shipment will arrive in time so he can take all of his equipment at once to Menongue and not miss out on the CQWW SSB Contest. QSL via PA3DMH.

He should be on the island November 15th and will stay for about 4 or 5 weeks there. Particular attention will be given for 80 and 40 meters. He currently does not know what his callsign will be but will receive it upon his arrival.
