PRATAS ISLAND, BQ9P. The Chinese Taipei Amateur Radio League (CTARL) announced its 7th DXpedition to Pratas Island. The call sign will be BQ9P. Operation will commence on or about 0900z on June 4 and will end at approximately 2300z on June 12. Operators include Paul, BV4FH (Team Leader), Wong, BV5CR, Robert, BV3FG, Steven, K4WA, San, K5YY, Gary, W5FI and Igor, W0IZ. A pilot station and operating frequencies will be announced shortly.

AFGHANISTAN, YA. Chris, G0TQJ, is now QRV as YA/G0TQJ. QSL via QRZ.COM.

BELARUS, EW. Andy, W2/NP3D, will be active on all bands as EW/NP3D, using CW, SSB and RTTY, until May 27. QSL via W3HNK.

MONGOLIA, JT. Nicola, I0SNY, and Gianni, I8KGZ, will be active as JT1Y from Ulaanbaatar for a couple of weeks. In late May they will take a side trip to China and will operate from Beijing's Radio Club for 2 or 3 days. QSL via I0SNY.

MALYJ VYSOTSKIJ, R1M. A group of operators from Russia and Finland will operate on 80 through 10 meters using SSB and CW, until May 30. QSL R1MVI via OH2BR.

COSTA RICA, TI. TI5N will operate the CQ WW WPX CW Contest multi-multi from the QTH of TI5KD, using 5 watts. Operators include N0KE, W8QZA, W1XE, CX6CM and possibly more late additions. QSL via W3HNK. Also, look for Dick, W5AA, to be signing W5AA/TI8 until June 17. He will operate on all bands with an emphasis on 30, 17 and 12 meters.

CANADA, VE. Terry, VE7TLL, reports that Canadian amateur radio operators have been authorized to use special prefixes to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Look for XL, XM, XN and XO instead of the usual VA, VE, VO and VY prefixes, respectively, through July 18, to be used on a voluntary basis.

BERMUDA, VP9. Merv, N6NO, will be active as N6NO/VP9 until May 28. He plans to concentrate on the newer bands using CW. QSL via home call.

JAMAICA, 6Y. The Team Vertical (N6BT, KE7X, WA6O, N6XG, W0YK, N6XI and K2KW) will be active as 6Y2A during the CW WPX Contest. They will also be on the air as 6Y5/home calls on 160 through 6 meters, until May 28. QSL 6Y2A and 6Y5/K2KW via WA4WTG, all others via home calls.
