PACIFIC

3D2 - FIJI Shozo, 7N2PYF, is on the air as 3D2PY using a TS50 with 100 watts and a wire antenna on 20/17/15m SSB from Aug 7-9. QSL via 7N2PYF (CBA 1997 and 1998 or via bureau).

V7 - MARSHALL ISLANDS Dave, V73UX, is momentarily the most active station of the Marshall Islands especially on 10-80m SSB. Tim, V73AT, is working on 6m/10m. QSL for V73AT via K2CL. George, V73GT, is working CW and RTTY. QSL for V73GT via bureau to WF5T. V73ZO is a Japanese on Bikini and very active on 15m SSB. QSL V73ZO via JA3FGA.

VK9C - COCOS-KEELING-ISLANDS Hiro, JE5WJM, was announced to be active as VK9CE running 100W into wire antennas from Aug 8-15. QSL via JE5WJM.

ZL - NEW ZEALAND Barry Fletcher, ZS1FJ, is active from the Great Barrier Reef (IOTA OC-201) signing ZL1MFW for a few days. QSL via ZS1FJ..

ZL8 - KERMADEC ISLAND Bob, ZL1RS/ZL8RS, is in New Zealand once again. Though his job was much more time consuming than he expected he made about 5000 QSOs. Unfortunately his RTTY equipment broke down. Perhaps he has to do more work on Kermadec Island in the end of 1998. (see DXNL 1100).


AFRICA

3B9 - RODRIGUES ISLAND Frank, AH0W, announced a large scale international DXpedition for this autumn.

5H - TANZANIA Starting in August Dave Heil, K8MN (ex J52US, 9L1US, A22MN), will be working at the US embassy for three years. He prefers CW and the lowbands.

7X - ALGERIA + 5T + S0 Starting on Aug 3 Mark, ON4WW, is back in Algeria and hopes to hit the airwaves as 7X0WW. Perhaps he will activate Mauritania (5T) and Western Sahara (S07WW), too. QSL via bureau to ON5NT.


AMERICA

CE - CHILE Luis, CE8EIO, appeared on the lowbands as announced earlier. QSL to Luis Fierro Andrade, Box 1512, Punta Arenas, Chile or via bureau.

J6 - ST LUCIA Mathias, J6/DL9BQ, is QRV in SSB on 15 and 20m running 100 watts into wire antennas from Aug 7-21.

KL7 - ALASKA After experiencing heavy sea and fog KL7/W6IXP started his activity from Little Diomede Island (NA-150) on July 31. His stay lasts for one week and is depending on the weather. QSL via N6AWD, Fred K Stenger, 6000 Hesketh Dr., Bakersfield, CA 93309-1429, USA.

ZF - CAYMAN ISLANDS Jim, KD3YK/ZF2JM, is QRV on 20/40m from Grand Cayman from Aug 5-14. QSL via KD3YK.


ASIA

HL - SOUTH KOREA The Korea University Amateur Radio Club (KUARC - HL0T) conducts its 7th DXpedition since its founding in 1991 to AS-105 from Aug 6-10. QSLs via KARL bureau or direct to: 1, 5-Ka, Anam-Dong, Sungbuk-Ku, Korea University Amateur Radio Club, Seoul, 136-701, South Korea.

JT - MONGOLIA JU60MTZ commemorates the 60th anniversary of Mongolian Railways between July 11 and August 31. QSL via JT1CJ, Sh. Gankhuyag, Box 100, Ulaanbaatar 44, Mongolia.


EUROPE

GU - GUERNSEY ISLAND After logging 2100 QSOs (also in RTTY + via SAT) Volkmar, MU/DF2SS, (DXNL 1104) went now QRT since he changed his hotel. QSL via bureau to DL2MDZ or via CBA.
