3D2 - FIJI + ROTUMA ISLAND Roberto, EA4DX, will be active from Rotuma Island signing 3D2DX between Aug 29 and Sep 19. Afterwards he intends to operate as 3D2DX/p from Viti Levu from Sep 20-24. 5X/5Z - UGANDA/KENYA Jacky, F2CW/ZL3CW, will stay in Africa for the next four months. Right now he is in Uganda and hopes to become active as 5X2CW. Most of the time he will stay in Kenya where he is still waiting for his call. He'll also go to Eritrea and tries to obtain a licence there. 9X - RWANDA Colin, G3PSM, will work in Rwanda for the next few weeks and hopes to get a licence, too.
S0 - WESTERN SAHARA During his spare time in the evening and night hours Mark, ON4WW, is QRV again as S07WW between Aug 25 and Sep 1. QSL via ON5NT.
TZ - MALI Bob, K4RB, became active from Bamako signing TZ6DX in CW and SSB on 10-40m. QSL via K4DX's address in Georgia or to the CBA of his ex-call WA4FVT.
FP - ST PIERRE AND MIQUELON Karl (AA9MN), Fred (KF9YL), Rick (KF9ZZ), Todd (N2CKZ), Greg (N9GL) and Mike (N9CHQ) will be QRV as FP/homecall from Aug 28 till Sep 5.
VP8 - FALKLAND ISLANDS Carl, G4VFU, is on the air as VP8CZJ from SA-002 from Aug 25-29. QSL via G0HXL.
VP9 - BERMUDA ISLAND W4QA/VP9 will hit the airwaves in CW on 10-30m from Sep 1-3.
SOUTHEAST ASIA Walter, DK9HN, and Volker, DL9YX, announced to become active from a rare DXCC country during the first two weeks of September. Their split operation will take place in CW and SSB on 10-40m. More information will follow when the operation has started and the QSL route will be announced after the operators returned home safe.
3W - VIETNAM 3W6UB (JA3UB), 3W6AR (JA3ART), 3W6HCK (JA4HCK) and 3W6JJ (JA2BWH) are QRV from Hanoi from Aug 23-26. They prefer SSTV and will take part also in the JA SSTV Association Contest signing 3W6TV. --- Mirek, HS0/VK3DXI, went QRT in Thailand on Aug 24 and should be on the air as 3W6DXI from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) between Aug 28 and Sep 3.
9V - SINGAPORE Mirek, HS0/VK3DXI, will go to Singapore in the beginning of October and hopes to reactivate his old call 9V1XE for the next years.
9M2 - WESTERN MALAYSIA Tex, 9M2TO, will operate mostly in CW on 10/15/20m from Lulau Perhentian (AS-073) from Aug 28-31. QSL via JARL bureau to JA0DMV.
BV9P - PRATAS ISLAND Paul, BV4FH, stated that a team of ten operators plans to activate Pratas in October. To show the need of an activity to the officials he requests e-mails to bv4fh@ms2.hinet writing whether you need BV9 in general, for the 5BDXCC or whereever.
XU - CAMBODIA After leaving Vietnam Mirek, HS0/VK3DXI, will go to Phnom Penh. He hopes to hit the airwaves as XU2DXI, XU2A or XU2C until September 9 (including the All Asia Contest). QSL via buro to DL4DBR or direct.
