PACIFIC

9M6 - EASTERN MALAYSIA Ed, K8EP, is operating at 9M6AAC in CW and SSB between Jan 29 and Feb 1. He will take part in the WWDX 160m Contest. QSL via N2OO.

DU - PHILIPPINES Andy, G4ZVJ, will operate as DU3/AH8F in CW on all bands between Jan 24 and Feb 24. QSL via G4ZVJ.

FO0 - AUSTRALES and FO0 - MARQUESAS ISLANDS Wulf, DL1AWI, and Mat, DL5XU, are QRV as FO0AWI and FO0XUU from Nuku Hiva (OC-027)/Marquesas Islands from Jan 17-30 and from Rurutu Island (OC-050) from Feb 2-10. They are QRV in CW/RRTY/SSTV using two FT890, a 500watts amplifier, wire antennae and a 20m GP. QSL via bureau to DL1AWI or DL5XU.

H44 - SOLOMON and H40 - TEMOTU ISLANDS Bernhard, DL2GAC, will be QRV as H44MS from the Solomons by Jan 24. Together with the CW op Sigi, DK9FN, he will fly to Honiara/Temotu on Jan 27. From there they will go by boat to Pigeon Isl. (OC-065). They will start their operation during the WWDX 160m contest on Jan 30/31. They are running 2 IC706 and amps powered by battery as long as the island generator is stopped. In the beginning they will put their emphasis on CW on 30-160m. DK9FN will return to the Solomons on Feb 6 to get his flight home on Feb 10. Bernhard will stay on Pigeon island until the beginning of April. His flight home goes from Singapore on Apr 22. QSL for H44MS/H40MS comes automatically via bureau. SWLs should write down a couple of callsigns he worked.

VK9 - COCOS ISLAND JA1CMD/N4XJ is active in CW as VK9CA from OC-003 from Jan 16-20. He is running 100w into a wire on all bands. QSL via the JA bureau to JA1CMD or direct to Kazu Miyamori, #52604 Hilton Residence II, Jl Gatot Subroto, Box 4083, KBY Jakarta 12040, Indonesia.

ZL9 - CAMPBELL ISLAND ZL9CI already succeeded the 65.000 QSOs but still recognizes a big demand for a "new one" on 40, 20, 15m CW especially from Europe. 40m SSB, 80m and RTTY will get priority later and 160m when the 80m pile ups decrease. Since one generator failed some stations are now running only 100 watts. Attention: On Jan 17 between a 1100-1715Z a PIRATE abused their call on 40m CW. QSL via ZL2HU, Ken Holdom, Box 56099, Tawa, New Zealand.
