INFO

BS7H The ARRL will make a decision on the DXCC status of Scarborough Reef in January.

DXCC After a 12:4 voting for Pratas in the DX Advisory Committee (DXAC) and a unanimous voting in the DX Awards Committee Pratas Island (BV9P) was added to the DXCC Countries List based on the rule 2a (separation by water). The list now contains 328 DXCC countries including North Korea. All BV9P contacts made after January 1, 1994 are valid and cards will be accepted after April 1, 1996. All QSLs of BV9P activities in January/March 1994 which were confirmed by Taiwanese managers will NOT be accepted for the DXCC due to some irregularities. Those who have such cards shall ask for a new QSL via KU9C (which will be accepted for DXCC credit).

S2 Though there are some other statements the JDN confirms the S21ZZ operation of the Japanese. In the moment a part of this crew is QRV as 9N1OW. S2/JE7RJZ shall be QRV from January 5-12. QSL via JA7FWR.

UB5JRR The ARRL excluded Romeo (better known as 3W3RR) from the DXCC pro- gram. Reason for that were his very disputed activities especially XY, P5 and 5A. QSLs and QSO credits of his other DXpeditions like 1S0RR, YA0RR, XY0RR and 9D0RR are still valid for DXCC.

VS6WV will be QRV again as XU6WV from Cambodia mostly on 40m/80m (perhaps also 160m) starting around January 8. QSL via K0TLM, AJ0E.
