PACIFIC

C2 - NAURU C21/JA1WPX is on the air in the moment.

AMERICA

6Y5 - JAMAICA Theo, PA3ERL, announces his activity as PA3ERL/6Y5 from June 13-29. QSL via homecall.

VP5 - TURKS & CAICOS Joe, K8JP, is QRV mostly in CW (7 or 16 kHz from the band edge) on 160m-10m from May 9-13. His call is VP5/K8JP. QSL via homecall.

AFRICA

6W - SENEGAL Jerry, UT4UZ, and Victor, UT3UV, will be QRV as N2WCQ/6W1 (UT4UZ) and KE4EKV/6W1 (UT3UV) on 160m-10m in CW and SSB from May 15 until at least June 1. They will put their emphasis on the WARC and the low bands. They plan to be QRV also from 6W2 and from Goree Island (IOTA AF-045). During the WPX CW Contest they will be on the air as N2WCQ/6W1. QSL via PA3BUD.

D6/FH - MAYOTTE/COMOROS Maike, DL4XS, Mirko, DL6ET, and Dieter, DL3KDV, plan to become QRV from Comoros for two weeks starting August 22. They will work with 2 stations in CW/SSB/RTTY/AMTOR/PACTOR with their emphasis on the lowbands. After that there will be one more week of activity from Mayotte Island. Due to some political reasons there are no flights between D6 and FH which is only 150 km away but there shall be some regular ship connections between these two islands. Since it is not possible to contact D6 via telephone in the moment they are looking for some insider information when the ships depart and how to buy a ticket. Who can help??? The QSLs for all QSOs will go via DL4XS (bureau or direct). Since the address is not correct in the 1996 Callbook see below for her actual address.

EUROPE

9H - MALTA Ruben, DL4VCR, plans to be on the air as 9H3II mostly on 160 meters between May 22 and June 21. QSL via homecall.

GU - GUERNSEY DL4OCM, DL1FDH and DG4YIE want to be active as GU/homecall (10m-6m, 2m and via satellite) from May 18-25.

INFO

3C/3C0 Teo, EA6BH, tries to come on the air again next month and if he is lucky he works also from 3C0 (Annobon).

5A1A The situation is unchanged. Due to missing documents the Ukrainian DXpedition has not been accepted for DXCC as of yet. The operators promised to sent the QSLs after the DXpedition has been approved?!

G4ZVJ Andy made some 13000 QSOs as ZD7VJ and additional 200 as ZD8VJ (all in CW only). Andy's amplifier broke down after a short time and he had to carry on with 100 watts.

P5 Participants of the DX convention in Andorra (C3) state that due to the actual political situation there will be no activity from North Korea in the next time.

ZL1AMO seems to do some island hopping. He was spotted on the bands as T30BH and 3D2RW during the past few days.

ZL8RI went on the air as scheduled. After two days of activity the call was heard on 14195 and 14025 kHz with a good signal and on 7001 kHz with a weak one. When there are better conditions and more disci- pline on the bands there should be also a chance for little pistols to make a QSO until May 14.

IOTA Malcolm, VK6KC and Dave, VK6DBL, will make a DXpedition to Lacepede Island (IOTA OC-new) using the call VK6ISL from May 16-21. Their frequencies will be: 3798, 7042-7045, 7165, 7185, 7278, 14260 and 21260 kHz. QSL via I1HYW.
